SCHOOL TOURS
There are so many exciting and fun entertainment options at the Sacramento County Fair!

WHAT IS IT?
School Tours is an educational program designed to educate young children, grades K-6, and give a real-life lesson in agriculture that takes learning out of the classroom and on to the farm. Over7,000 students reap the rewards of this fun-filled and educational trip to participate in over 10 Agricultural Education Stations.
WHY DO IT?
Fun, interactive hands on learning environment that meets state classroom standards and will teach your students about agriculture.
WHEN IS IT?
School Tours will take place on Thursday, May 25, 2017 & Friday, May 26, 2017 until 2:00 p.m. during the Sacramento County Fair to be held May 25 – 29, 2017.
WHERE IS IT?
The Sacramento County Fair is held at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds and runs May 25 through May 29, 2017.

FARM GARDEN IN A WHEELBARROW PROGRAM

WHAT IS IT?
Farm Garden In A Wheelbarrow is an educational program designed to educate young children, grades K-6 about the importance of agriculture, where their food comes from and how it grows. Fun, interactive hands on learning environment that meets state classroom standards. The program is open to public, private or charter schools, preschools, home school groups, after school programs or 4-H clubs. Minimum of 8 students please.
WHY DO IT?
Teach your students about where their food comes from, "from the field to the table and from the grocery store."
WHEN IS IT?
Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 (New Participants) Thursday, March 2nd, 2017 (Returning)
WHAT DO WE WIN?
Every student receives a complimentary participation ribbon, rosette ribbons for winners in each class, Best of Show Rosette for overall winner.
