Farm Garden In A Wheelbarrow is an educational program designed to educate young children, grades K-6, about the importance of agriculture, where their food comes from and how it grows. Fun, interactive hands-on learning environment that meets state classroom standards. The program is open to the public, private or charter shools, preschools, home school groups, after school programs or 4-H clubs. Minimum of 8 students please.
Teach your students about where their food comes from, “from the field to the table and from the grocery store.”
Every student receives a complimentary participation ribbon. Placement ribbons for winners in each class. Best of Show Rosette for overall best wheelbarrow.
All ravens reservations are done for 2025 and to look at our school tour’s for additional classroom activities at the upcoming county fair.
The Sacramento County Fair is offering free educational material for use in your class, to educate your students on the source of food and fiber. The program is open to public, private, or charter schools, preschools, home school groups, after School Programs or 4-H clubs. Please keep it to a minimum of 8 students.
We provide seeds, and teaching materials to plant a salad garden.
*Class ribbons will be given for the “winners” in each grade level.
